At Jacobs Early Learning Centre, we’re excited to offer the ‘Journey to Africa’ incursion twice a month, providing children with a vibrant and interactive experience that enriches their cultural understanding and creative development. Led by a skilled cultural educator and researcher, this incursion immerses children in the rhythms, songs, and stories of Africa, aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework.
During each session, children learn basic drumming patterns, songs, and dances, while exploring stories about African animals and village life. These activities promote important values such as empathy, respect for diversity, and social and emotional well-being. Additionally, the incursion fosters children’s physical development through movement and dance, making it a fun and educational experience that supports their overall growth.
Mobile Dental Program Incursion

This program is thoughtfully designed to align with the Early Years Learning Framework, enabling children to explore diversity and Indian culture through dance and movement. These sessions help children develop kinaesthetic memory, strength and endurance, forming a strong foundation for their physical development and overall fitness.
Our festival-themed Bollywood dance sessions feature dynamic dance moves, captivating dress-ups, a mesmerising light show, and storytelling related to the festival, offering a unique and enriching educational experience.
Santa’s Travels Incursion

Every Christmas, Jacob's Early Learning Centre hosts the exciting "Santa's Travels" incursion.
Join CJ and his puppet friends, Wise Clive and Nigel the Crocodile, as they follow Santa’s sleigh tracks around the globe, performing Christmas songs in musical styles that match each country. This fun-filled journey starts in CJ’s homeland of England, where children learn about a traditional Charles Dickens-style Christmas in London, complete with snow and a banjo-lele rendition of "Jingle Bells" in British-skiffle style.
Next, the adventure moves to Spain for a vibrant "Feliz Navidad," featuring Flamenco guitar and an interactive Spanish song. The journey continues to the Appalachian Mountains of North America for a festive Christmas hoe-down before returning to Australia for a sunny Christmas celebration. With catchy songs, comedy, ventriloquism, dance moves, and traditional carols, this incursion offers an engaging exploration of Santa’s journey around the world. The highlight of the event is a special visit from Santa Claus himself, making it a memorable Christmas experience for all.
